Core Emirates

SCOPE

Core PMC were requested to resolve ongoing Low Delta T issues being encountered on a large scale CHW system that was affecting the indoor comfort cooling; additionally, looking at the inefficient chiller operation.

AUDIT

Once we established the energy usage and determined the target savings post completion of the works, we conducted a detailed study of the BMS Trend Data and deployed our in-house team of experienced engineers to measure all flowrates throughout the system to obtain base line data.

IMPLEMENTATION

The results of our audit identified inadequate pump control strategies, incorrect locations for temperature and pressure sensors, sensors out of calibration and various by-pass loops were left open in the system.

We then managed the close out of all sub-contractor rectification works on behalf of our client prior to re balancing of the entire system and fine-tuning existing control strategies.

RESULTS

Core PMC met all targets by significantly reducing energy consumption thru successfully refining the chiller & system efficiency, internal comfort cooling which in turn led to increased footfall of customers due improved occupant well-being, moreover, enhanced the overall sustainable operation of the facility.
