Core Emirates

The new Mafraq Hospital is designed to provide 739 beds and 139 outpatient clinics and serve as a centre of excellence in thoracic and orthopedic surgery, and burn treatment in the emirate. The hospital will have four patient towers dedicated to different services. The outside towers are 10 storeys and the central towers are 12. Two Royal suites and 32 VVIP suites are there in the upper floors of the central towers.

The hospital is designed with separate Visitor/Patient elevator cores, eliminating cross-traffic between visitors and patients. Each floor includes waiting areas filled with natural light and a visible connection to the outside environment. Gardens and “healing areas” with benches and water features are included.

Core PMC was engaged during the construction period to carry out a Life Safety Peer review of the Fire Alarm and PAVA design / current installation to ensure code compliance and to investigate value engineering opportunities. Despite the size of the project, the submitted report was submitted to our client within the agreed time frames, the contents of which assisted all parties moving forward.
